Amelia Earhart, Sandra Day O’Connor, Sally Ride, Kayla Izard; what do these women all have in common? They have all boldly gone where no women before them had gone before. From flying solo across the Atlantic, to the first Supreme Court Justice, to the first American woman in space, and now, the first female associate at Resound Creative.
We are absolutely ecstatic to have Kayla apart of our team. Even in the short week she has been here, she has already made an impact. Not to mention courageously diving into our inside jokes and nerdy (but cool) sense of humor. She will not only be writing content for clients, but for us as well! We can’t wait to see what she can do! We are excited to continue getting to know her, and we’d like you to meet her as well!
I proudly present to you: The Resound Pioneer, Kayla Izard.
Resound: If you could choose to stay a certain age forever, what would it be and why?
Kayla: I’m only 21, so it’s hard to say I’d want to forever be an age that I haven’t even experienced. I’d probably say 25 though. If I had to live forever, at least I could rent a car.
Resound: If you could choose anyone, whom would you pick as your mentor?
Kayla: Pastor Bill Johnson from Bethel Church in Redding, CA. I admire his relationship with God. I love how he loves people, and his wisdom always astounds me.
Resound: If you had to work on only one project for the next year, (work-related or otherwise) what would it be?
Kayla: It doesn’t matter, I would go stark-raving-mad. Only one project for a whole year? That’s totally my road to Crazyville.
Resound: If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do with the money?
Kayla: I would buy myself and my husband new cars, go to Italy, invest some, and save the rest.
Resound: If you could be any fictional character, whom would you choose?
Kayla: I’m going to say Amelia (Mia) Mignonette Thermopolis Renaldi from Princess Diaries. I mean, come on, I inherit a country at 16 and Julie Andrews is my grandmother? Who wouldn’t want to be her?
Resound: What story does your family always tell about you?
Kayla: Oh gosh. One of my dad’s favorites happened after we bought The Little Mermaid. I was out in the backyard for a week singing Part of Your World while swim-dancing.
Resound: Why do people ask you to “put your two cents in” when the common phrase is, “a penny for your thoughts?” Where do you think that extra penny is going?
Kayla: Overhead. Gotta keep the think tank running.
Resound: IMPROV TIME! Name 10 companies or people that you would NOT like being a PR Rep for.
Kayla:
- Disney. (Oh wait, “you would NOT like?” Nevermind)
- Healthcare.gov
- Mattel
- Niki Minaj
- Justin Bieber
- Trojan
- Taco Bell
- Carnival (Cruises)
- McDonalds
