Meet Our World Traveler: Chelsea

by | Dec 26, 2014

Twas a month before Christmas
And in Resound land
Design work was daunting
With deadlines at hand

There was too much work here
To finish on time
“We need a new intern”
Mike made up his mind

Job postings were written
And posted with care
In hopes that our intern
soon would be there

When behold from the darkness
Arose a bright soul
Saying “I’ll do design work.
I promise. No bull.”

Never did we imagine
A person this fun
Would brighten our office
And get the job done
Introducing our design intern: Chelsea DuBois, the world traveler!  Having grown up in a military family, she’s lived in five different states, as well as Singapore, and has traveled to Europe, Australia, and other parts of Asia.  Last year, Chelsea graduated with a degree in graphic design from Flagler College in Florida, and she moved cross-country to come work for us!  (Well, that’s what we like to think, anyway)  The only catch: she has demanded more snow for her winters.  We’ll work on it, Chelsea.

We’ve loved getting to know her, and we know you will too.

Resound: When did you first realize you were into designing?

Chelsea: I’ve always been into designing – I used to spend hours making things in Microsoft Paint, but it wasn’t until high school that I realized designing was what I wanted to do.

Resound: If you were one of Santa’s reindeer, which one would you be? Why?

Chelsea: Vixen. He seems to be the comedic trickster in the group, and I can relate to that.

Resound: What’s usually the last thought in your mind before you fall asleep?

Chelsea: Did I remember to set an alarm?

Resound: What is a good state to visit, but not live in?

Chelsea: I’d have to say any of the Southern states. They’ve got an interesting culture, but I can only handle that in small doses, y’all.

Resound: If the best things in life weren’t free, what would you buy first?

Chelsea: Friendship, because life would be pretty boring if you didn’t have awesome people to share it with.

Resound:  Coffee or hot chocolate?

Chelsea: Hot chocolate! With tons of mini marshmallows.

Resound: What’s the best place to be at 11:59 on New Years Eve?

Chelsea: Sitting in bed, wrapped in blankets. Because I’m actually an 80 year old trapped in a 22 year old’s body.

Resound: IMPROV TIME: Name 10 people you’d never want to meet

  1. Anyone dressed as a clown
  2. Hitler
  3. Kanye West
  4. Kim Jong-un
  5. Joffrey Baratheon
  6. Henry VIII of England
  7. Bella Swan
  8. Sarah Palin
  9. The person who came up with the word moist
  10. Biff Tannen
