About Sam

If you religiously watched PBS channel 8 in the Phoenix market during the spring of 2011, you would easily recognize Sam Pagel from his brief stint as a student reporter and anchor for Arizona State University’s Cronkite Newswatch program. But, since you definitely didn’t do the above (unless you’re Sam’s mom), we’ll introduce you to him.

Sam’s love for video production and photography began during his college years, when he earned his degree in broadcast journalism from the aforementioned ASU. Shortly after graduating, Sam took his skills with a camera and turned his hobby into a business. He started his own company, Pelican Media, which he grew for eight years to serve small to medium-sized businesses in Arizona and throughout the country with award-winning video production, photography, web development, and collateral design. Telling meaningful stories authentically and creatively is what really gets Sam going and he is thrilled to bring that passion and skillset to the Resound team.

“I had the pleasure of working side by side (literally) with Resound for over 6 years before we officially joined forces. We collaborated on projects together but it wasn’t until I got into the weeds with their team that I really saw how much they care about their people and their clients.”

When he’s not behind the camera or in the editing bay, Sam is embarking on adventures with his wife, Ashley, and their three little kiddos. In addition to his family, Sam loves Oxford commas, paying taxes, and sarcasm.
